Azerbaijani referee to officiate at judo world championship for the first time

Azerbaijani international referee Nazim Umbayev has been appointed to officiate at the upcoming World Judo Championships in Budapest, marking a first for the country.
Umbayev, who holds an “A” international category license, will be the first Azerbaijani referee to serve at a senior-level world championship.
The tournament is set to begin on June 13 in the Hungarian capital.
