Former army captain Panakhov sentenced to 9 years and 7 months in prison

The Baku military court has sentenced former company commander of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Captain Agamali Panakhov, to 9 years and 7 months in prison on charges of bribery and fraud, local media reported.

According to haqqin.az, the verdict was delivered by Judge Jamal Ramazanov.

Panakhov was found guilty of repeatedly accepting bribes from soldiers under his command and committing fraud using his official position. He was convicted under several articles of the Criminal Code, including 178.2.2, 178.2.3, 232.2.1, 232.2.3, and 311.3.2.
