Sewage water discharged directly into Caspian Sea at Baku’s Buzovna beach

Sewage water is reportedly being discharged directly into the Caspian Sea at Buzovna beach, located in Baku’s Khazar district, according to a report aired by Azerbaijan’s state broadcaster AZTV.

Footage shows untreated wastewater flowing through a channel into the sea along the shoreline frequented by beachgoers.

Health experts have warned that the discharge poses serious risks to public health and could lead to potential sanitary and epidemiological threats for visitors.

No official comment has yet been issued by environmental or municipal authorities.
