Azerbaijani canoeist wins bronze at U23 European Championships

Azerbaijani canoeist Tatyana Smilovenko has won a bronze medal at the European Canoe Sprint Championships for youth and U23 athletes, held in Pitesti, Romania, the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation said.

Smilovenko advanced to Final A after strong performances in the heats and semifinals of the women’s single kayak 500-meter event.

She finished third in the final, securing Azerbaijan’s first medal at the championship.
