Qarabag coach warns against complacency after 3–1 win over Ferencváros

Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov cautioned that his team’s 3–1 away victory over Hungary’s Ferencváros does not guarantee a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
“I congratulate my players. It was a tough game under pressure, but they stayed focused and did everything to win,” Gurbanov said after the match. He thanked both Azerbaijani and Hungarian fans for creating a great atmosphere.
“The scoreline shouldn’t deceive us. Ferencváros is a strong team with a coach who doesn’t like to lose. They can score out of nothing – from open play or set-pieces. We need to stay sharp and serious in Baku,” he added.
Qarabag will host the return leg in Baku next week.
