Kazakhstan has extended its oil supply agreement with Germany until the end of 2026 and will deliver up to 130,000 tonnes of crude per month, national oil company KazMunayGas said on Tuesday.

The country began shipments from KazMunayGas’s Kashagan resources in 2024 and from Tengizchevroil’s output in 2025. The planned increase in supplies from 100,000 to 130,000 tonnes by the end of 2026 will be sourced from Karachaganak Petroleum Operating.

Over the first nine months of 2025, Kazakhstan exported around 1.5 million tonnes of oil to the Schwedt refinery in Germany.

Kazakh oil is transported via the Uzen–Atyrau–Samara trunk pipeline and further through the Transneft system to the Adamova Zastava delivery point for shipment to Germany’s Schwedt refinery.

Kazakhstan has lowered its 2025 export forecast for oil deliveries to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline to 2.0 million tonnes from 2.5 million. In 2024, exports totalled 1.5 million tonnes.
