Azerbaijan and Armenia unable to agree on venue for “3+3” meeting
Armenia’s Foreign Ministry has announced that discussions with Azerbaijan regarding the venue of the next “3+3” regional platform meeting are still ongoing.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan told Public Television that “the meeting should take place either in Yerevan or Baku. Talks will continue to reach a mutually acceptable solution, and we will inform the public once an agreement is reached.” She stressed that negotiations aim to select a city acceptable to all sides, and the final decision will be announced after consensus is achieved.
Earlier, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said Baku had proposed holding the meeting first in Azerbaijan and then in Armenia, adding that under the current circumstances, Baku sees no reason for Yerevan to reject the offer.
