Qarabağ boss Qurbanov hails historic Champions League play-off qualification

Qarabağ head coach Qurban Qurbanov praised his side's resilience as they secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League play-offs for the first time in history.

Despite a heavy 6-0 defeat to Liverpool in the final round of the league phase, the Azerbaijani champions finished 22nd with 10 points, enough to progress to the knockout stages.

Speaking after the match, Qurbanov emphasized that his team deserved the qualification after a challenging eight-game run.

Looking ahead to the play-offs, where Qarabağ could face sides like PSG or Newcastle United, Qurbanov stated that the team would meticulously prepare to showcase their true potential on the European stage.
