Over 5 kg of methamphetamine seized in Nakhchivan en route from Iran to Turkey
More than 5 kilograms of methamphetamine have been seized in Nakhchivan following operations carried out by the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department.
The narcotic substance was discovered at the “Sadarak” customs checkpoint in a vehicle transiting the country from Iran to Turkey.
During an inspection using a stationary X-ray scanner, customs officers found six cellophane packages containing the psychotropic substance methamphetamine hidden inside a battery placed in the trailer of the vehicle.
The total net weight of the seized substance amounted to 5 kilograms and 254.397 grams.
An investigation is underway.
