Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Galuzin denies official Ukraine talks with Germany
The Russian side has not held any official negotiations with Germany regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, according to statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated in an interview with TASS that official contacts with Berlin on this issue do not exist and are unlikely under current circumstances, citing the stance and policy steps of the German leadership.
At the same time, the diplomat acknowledged that informal channels remain active, noting that non-official meetings between representatives of public and expert groups from both countries continue to take place.
The statement follows earlier remarks by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding reported contacts between Russian and German representatives held in Baku.
