Crypto Markets Show Mixed Trading as Gold-Backed Tokens Surge
Major digital assets posted mixed performance over the past 24 hours, with gold-backed tokens outpacing the broader cryptocurrency market.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin edged up 0.06% to $77,613.35, while BNB gained 0.61% to trade at $692.05 and Monero rose 0.07% to $516.08. Conversely, Ethereum slipped 0.65% to $2,400.46, Bittensor shed 1.24% to $217.60, and Zcash declined 2.57% to $817.69. The CoinMarketCap 20 Index ticked up 0.24% to 159.02 points.
Gold-backed assets registered sharper gains amid rising physical bullion prices, driven by a softening US dollar and lower Treasury yields. PAX Gold (PAXG) climbed 3.16% to $4,434.51, and Tether Gold (XAUT) advanced 3.07% to $4,421.18. Analysts note that Bitcoin’s consolidation in the $77,000–$78,000 corridor reflects geopolitical friction and caution ahead of US labor data that could steer the Federal Reserve's upcoming rate decision.
