Baku and Berlin to discuss Middle Corridor investments

Baku will host the German-Azerbaijani Strategic Partnership and Connectivity Conference 2026 on October 6, organized by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan).

The conference focuses on mobilizing capital and private investment for infrastructure, transport, logistics, green energy, and digitalization along the Middle Corridor. The summit brings together senior government officials, corporate executives, multilateral development banks (MDBs), and export credit agencies (ECAs).

Opening remarks will be delivered by AHK Azerbaijan Executive Director Nargis Wieck, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, and German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dirk Lölke. Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev will deliver a keynote address during the afternoon session.

The agenda features four high-level panel discussions covering port and rail infrastructure, cross-border digital trade solutions, and renewable power transmission, alongside representation from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The event will conclude with three B2G roundtables focused on transport infrastructure, the green transition, and trade digitalization.
