Azerbaijan banks post 22.7% surge in net profit

Commercial banks operating in Azerbaijan recorded a combined net profit of 949.7 million manats and an operating profit of 1.4877 billion manats in January–August 2026.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the banking sector's net earnings rose 22.7% year-on-year. Over the eight-month period, credit institutions paid a cumulative 245.8 million manats in corporate income tax to the state budget.
