Azerbaijan banking sector assets rise 12.2% year-on-year

Total assets across Azerbaijan's banking sector rose 12.2% year-on-year to reach 62.476 billion manats as of September 1, according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Aggregate liabilities across the sector stood at 54.723 billion manats, while balance sheet capital reached 7.753 billion manats. During the month of August alone, sector assets expanded by 2.5%, total liabilities increased by 2.6%, and capital grew by 1.4%.
