Chrome keeps lead despite market slip
Google Chrome retained its dominant market leadership across Azerbaijan in September, despite recording a noticeable contraction both month-on-month and year-on-year, according to the latest data from web analytics firm Statcounter.
Across desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms, Chrome captured a 78.33% aggregate market share, down 2.15 percentage points from August and 1.3 percentage points lower compared to September 2025.
Apple's Safari took second place with an 8.49% share, gaining 1.04 percentage points month-on-month but easing 0.17 percentage points on an annual basis. Mozilla's Firefox followed in third place at 5.47%, advancing 0.65 percentage points over the month and surging by 4.45 percentage points year-on-year. Samsung Internet secured fourth place with 3.92% (up 0.25 percentage points monthly and 0.82 percentage points annually), while Microsoft Edge rounded out the top five at 2.09%, edging up 0.18 percentage points month-on-month while slipping 0.1 percentage points over the year.
