Netherlands to Explore Demining Support for Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Berendsen Says

The Kingdom of the Netherlands will examine possibilities for extending support to Azerbaijan in humanitarian mine clearance operations, Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berendsen stated during a joint press briefing with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku.

Berendsen noted that the Netherlands highly values the Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process, emphasizing Baku’s ongoing commitment and diplomatic leadership. Highlighting a balanced Dutch engagement toward achieving sustainable regional security and mutually beneficial outcomes, the foreign minister affirmed that relevant specialized teams from the Netherlands will assess avenues to assist Azerbaijan's demining initiatives.
