Azkals yield to Azerbaijan in friendly

The Philippines fell short but nonetheless put up a good showing in a 0-1 loss to European side Azerbaijan its second international friendly in five days Thursday (Manila time) at the Al Shabab Stadium in Dubai.

The Azkals gave up a goal in the 26th minute with Rufat Dadashov scoring for Azerbaijan, which is ranked 93rd in the Fifa rankings.

Last Saturday, the Nationals settled for a scoreless draw against Malaysia.
