If you thought the cast of Towie use a lot of fake tan, wait till you see bodybuilding competitors.Their eyeballs are just about the only part of their bodies untouched by orange dye.Desperate for an even coating, the muscly participants taking part in the World Classic Bodybuilding Championships in St Polten, Austria, this weekend, used DIY paint rollers to apply the stuff to those difficult to reach parts.The end result left them looking like lumpy versions of actress Shirley Eaton - the painted woman in Bond film Goldfinger.The event featured competitors from across the world, including Iran, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Germany and Japan.The competition followed news that a growing number of men in Britain are suffering from ‘muscle dysmorphia’ – a constant feeling that their muscles are not big enough.The condition is like a reverse form of anorexia and it’s thought that around one per cent of Britain’s men suffer from it, or have symptoms of it.Dysmorphia expert Dr Stuart Murray told Sky News: ‘When we look at the literature over the last three decades we've seen the number of men dissatisfied with their body triple.‘There's data suggesting men would be prepared to sacrifice years off their life for bigger biceps for instance which wasn't even heard of in the 70s or 80s, in the lay public at least.’He added: ‘A gentleman I was working with had a broken wrist and he continued to train because the pain of potentially losing muscle far outweighed the pain of training with a broken wrist.’(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
