SOCAR to demolish about 30,000 houses in Baku
The spokesman of the company made a statement.
The appeal of demolishing 10,000 houses in Binagadi district will be directed to the court.
SOCAR appealed to the court for the demolition of illegally built houses.
News.Az reports citing Lent.az that the statament came from the Head of legal disputes and contract of SOCAR Jomerd Mustafayev.
According to the official representative of SOCAR, most of the directed appeals are related to the demolition of houses in Binagadi district:
"We have asked the court to demolish 9,392 illegally built houses in Binagadi district. The court decision has already been passed on 4,172. We also plan to go to court with a lawsuit to demolish another 10,000 illegally constructed houses."
D.Mustafayev also unveiled statistics on court decisions regarding complaints about the demolition of houses in Baku and suburban areas:
"The decision to demolish 2,000 houses in the Sabail district has been made. We have also filed a lawsuit to demolish 6,321 houses in Sabunchu district, 4,500 of them already have a court decision. The court decided to demolish 444 houses in Khatai district, 179 - Nizami, and about 1,500 houses - in Khazar and Garadagh."
The official representative of SOCAR said that the demolition of houses has not yet begun.
