Number of female births declines in Azerbaijan

As of early February 2015 women made 50.2% of 4,820,200 people.
News.Az reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee that 57.1% women are fertile, every 10 women in average give birth to 22 children.
Girls constituted 46.4% of 170,500 newborns last year.
Currently, the country accounts for 21 maternity houses, 282 children’s polyclinics and ambulatories. Women’s life expectancy is 5.2 years longer than of men and makes 76.8 years on average.
