UK embassy comments on rebel leader’s speech at British parliament

The UK embassy in Baku, commenting on Karabakh separatist leader Bako Sahakyan’s speech at the British parliament, said on Facebook:
"Mr Sahakyan was not invited to Parliament by the British Government. Parliamentarians make their own decisions about who to invite to parliament.
"Mr Sahakyan travelled to the UK independently and the UK government had no role in his visit. The UK position remains unchanged – we do not recognise the independence of the self-proclaimed Nagorno Karabakh Republic.”
