World’s most retweeted photo gets the John Terry treatment

World’s most retweeted photo gets the John Terry treatment

Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres set a new world record on Sunday night when a selfie posted during the ceremony became the most retweeted photo of all time.

Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt and Glenn Close were among the assembled cast, which would have graced any movie coming out of Tinseltown, while Kevin Spacey made the pic even more perfect with a cheeky photobomb at the back.At the time of writing, Ellen's tweet had been retweeted over 2.3 million times, smashing the previous record of 781,564 for a shot of Barack Obama embracing his wife Michelle on the day he won re-election as President of the United States. However, it was surely inevitable that some internet wag would play on the long-established meme of John Terry edging his way into shot, after he donned a full kit and shin pads when celebrating Chelsea's Champions League win in 2012, despite being suspended for the final against Bayern Munich. And quickest off the mark with a fresh twist on a rather tired joke was a certain @TheFoyeEffect. Take a bow, son.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)ANN.Az
