Azerbaijan plans to introduce 7 GW of green energy capacity by 2030

Azerbaijan plans to commission 7 GW of renewable energy production capacity by 2030, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov said at the Caspian Energy Forum, which is taking place on September 18 in Baku.

"Of these, 2 GW of capacity will be designed to supply the domestic market, 4 GW for export along the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Europe green energy corridor through the Black Sea, and we plan to export 1 GW along the corridor through the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to Türkiye and Europe," he noted.
