Moody’s sees Azerbaijan’s economic growth accelerating in 2026

Credit rating agency Moody’s expects Azerbaijan’s economy to grow faster in 2026, forecasting GDP growth of 3%.

According to the agency, Azerbaijan’s economy expanded by 1.5% in 2025. Moody’s also forecasts economic growth of 2.5% in 2027.

This would put average annual GDP growth in 2026–2027 at around 2.75%, the agency said.

Official data from State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan show the economy grew by 1.4% in 2025.
