Iran's president may visit Azerbaijan this year

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani may visit Azerbaijan this year, the country's ambassador in Baku, Mohsen Pak Ayen, said at a press conference on Feb. 25.
Significant progress will be achieved in Iranian-Azerbaijani relations in the first six months of 2016, the ambassador said.
Ayeen offered condolences to the Azerbaijani people over the Khojaly genocide.
"Hopefully, such events will never happen in Azerbaijan or in any other part of the world,” he added.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Iran on Feb. 23. During the visit, the sides signed 11 documents.
President Aliyev invited his Iranian counterpart Rouhani to visit Azerbaijan.
