Azerbaijani troops head to UAE for Peace Shield 2026 drills

A group of Azerbaijani military personnel has departed for the United Arab Emirates to take part in the joint operational-tactical exercise Peace Shield 2026, Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry said.

The drills aim to enhance the professional skills of participating military contingents in counter-terrorism operations, contribute to maintaining sustainable peace, and promote the exchange of experience.

The Peace Shield 2026 joint exercises will be held on February 2–3.
