Aliyev accepts Babiš's invitation to visit Czech Republic

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said he had accepted Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis’s invitation to visit the Czech Republic, according to a post on the president’s X account.

Aliyev thanked Babis for his official visit to Azerbaijan and talks in Gabala, saying political relations between the two countries were at a high level.

He said Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic saw potential to further structure and diversify economic cooperation.

Aliyev said the sides had also agreed to raise the level of the intergovernmental economic commission, a step aimed at improving coordination in energy, industry and other sectors.

The Azerbaijani president also noted cooperation in the defence industry and said he saw prospects for its further development.
