Azerbaijan urges citizens to avoid working in conflict zones
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has urged its citizens to refrain from travelling to or working in areas affected by armed conflict or unstable security conditions.
The ministry said that despite repeated warnings, Azerbaijani citizens continue to be killed or injured while working in conflict zones and other high-risk areas.
It said the ongoing military operations in the Black Sea region, threats to civilian shipping, and the use of drones, missiles and other weapons had significantly increased risks for civilian vessels and their crews.
The ministry also urged citizens to follow official travel advisories and, if necessary, contact Azerbaijan’s diplomatic missions and consulates.
