Azerbaijan rejects French travel warning as biased interference
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry firmly condemned France for issuing a travel warning that cited risks of arbitrary detention and unfair trials for French citizens.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizada declared that attempts to politicize routine domestic legal proceedings or interfere with the national judicial branch are inadmissible. Pointing out structural shortcomings within France's own law enforcement and correctional institutions, Hajizada urged Paris to halt unfounded accusations, respect Azerbaijan's state sovereignty, and avoid policies detrimental to bilateral diplomatic ties.
