Risk for Azerbaijani manat “not so big”: finance minister

The risk for Azerbaijani manat losing against the US dollar is not very big at the moment as the situation in the country’s balance of payments is normal, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said. 

"There are no big problems in the balance of payments,” Sharifov said in an interview aired on ANS TV channel on Sunday.

The minister said the rate of manat depends on the price of crude oil, which accounts for over 90 percent of Azerbaijani exports.
