Head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) leaves his post

Head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Philip Craven will leave his post before the expiry of the term of office, said communications Director of the IPC Craig Spence. "This is the last time Philip Craven as IPC President. His successor will be elected 8 September 2017. Craven has no plans to leave his post until that time," said Spence.

The General Assembly of the IPC, which will be elected new President of the organization, will be held 7-8 September in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier on Saturday, the media reported, what Craven will leave his post for unknown reasons in late 2016 or early 2017
