13.01.2017 16:01
The design of cups, which will be awarded to the winning drivers, as well as to the constructor of the winning team at the 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, will be changed, Nigar Arpadarai, head of marketing and communications at Baku City Circuit (BCC), told Trend Jan. 12.

She did not give away the details of the changes.

Arpadarai added that work on the design of the cups is underway, and it will be completed in March.

It should be noted that last year, the front of the cup of Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe resembled a torch, which is considered a symbol of Azerbaijan. The cup combined all the elements that embody faith, strength, unity and glory of the Azerbaijani people.

The 2017 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on June 23-25, 2017, in Baku.
