Winners Unveiled for “Heydar Aliyev: 100 Engineering Hackathon”

With the general sponsorship of the Azerbaijan’s first bank, Kapital Bank, an engineering hackathon was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The competition took place among students from 21 higher educational institutions across the country. Thirty teams showcased innovative solutions to assigned problems within three key areas: "Ecology and Environment”, "Transport and Logistics”, and "Technology and Innovations”.

The hackathon was hosted at the Azerbaijan-French University, organized collaboratively by the New Azerbaijan Party and the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry. The winners of the intellectual competition were announced at an event titled "With Respect to the Past, With Faith in the Future: Modern Azerbaijani Youth, Followers of the Legacy of Heydar Aliyev”.

The team of "Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry – 2” became the winner in the field of "Transport and Logistics”, the team of "Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry – 3” became the best in the field of "Ecology and Environment”, and the team of "Baku Higher Oil School – 1” was recognized as the winner in the "Technology and Innovation” topic. Kapital Bank awarded the winners a well-deserved prize in the amount of 2 500 AZN. The awards were presented by the Leader of the Data technologies CoE at Data management Office of the bank, Tural Hamzayev.

Furthermore, Kapital Bank received a letter of gratitude for their invaluable support in orchestrating the project. Vice-Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Vazekh Askerov, personally extended this token of appreciation to Aygun Musayeva, the Head of the Talent Management Department at Kapital Bank.
