Botas, Gazprom to hold negotiations on gas hub project in St. Petersburg

A delegation from the Turkish oil and gas company Botas will visit St. Petersburg this week, reported from the Turkish newspaper Sabah.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss with representatives of the Russian Gazprom the details of creating a gas hub.

"Türkiye is taking confident steps to become a central country in the energy sector. Yechnical details of the gas center planned to be created in Thrace in 2024 will be discussed during the meeting. Russian gas will be sold worldwide from the province of Thrace," the publication notes.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that Moscow and Ankara could soon reach agreement on a road map as part of the creation of a gas hub.
