Azerbaijan’s bad loans rise 25% year-on-year

The volume of overdue loans in Azerbaijan stood at 635.4 million manats as of June 1, the central bank said.

The figure was up 3.45% from May 1, 21.15% from the start of the year and 25% higher than a year earlier. 

The share of bad loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.9% at the end of May, unchanged from a month earlier, compared with 1.6% at the end of last year and 1.7% a year earlier.
