Azerbaijan’s bank lending portfolio continues to grow

The loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan rose 0.9%, or 276.6 million manats, month on month to 30.886 billion manats at the start of June, according to central bank data. 

Business loans accounted for 53.1% of the total portfolio at 16.4 billion manats, up 0.5% over the month, while consumer loans made up 31.7% and mortgage loans 15.2%. Within business lending, 51.8% went to large businesses and 23.2% to microbusinesses.
