Prices for benchmark oil rose slightly on Thursday morning.
The price of April futures for Brent on the London ICE Futures exchange amounted to $83.23 per barrel, which is 20 cents higher than the closing price of the previous session, reported from Interfax.

On Wednesday, these futures rose 69 cents to $83.03 a barrel.

WTI oil futures with the settlement in April increased by 20 cents (0.26%), reaching $78.11 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

The day before, futures rose in price by 87 cents to $77.91 per barrel.

Oil has been fluctuating within a fairly narrow range since the beginning of the year and is now trading at its upper limit. Investors are weighing the outlook for energy demand in China, the world's largest oil importer, as well as geopolitical risks in the Middle East and the potential for supply disruptions across the Red Sea.
