Azerbaijan explores co-op proposals promoting UK’s energy transition

Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has discussed cooperation proposals promoting the energy transition of the UK with Kerry McCarthy, UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero in Brazil, Azerbaijani minister wrote on X.

"In Brazil, we met with Ms. Kerry McCarthy, UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In our partnership with the UK on the transition to clean energy, we discussed the Shafag project with bp, as well as the energy initiatives of the COP29 presidency and the cooperation proposals that promote the UK's energy transition,” reads the post.
