President Ilham Aliyev expresses condolences to Masoud Pezeshkian

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian following the deadly explosion at the Shahid Rajaee port in Bandar Abbas, Azerbaijan's state news agency AZERTAC reported.

"We are deeply saddened by the news of the loss of lives and numerous injuries caused by the explosion," Aliyev said. "On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend heartfelt condolences to you, the families of the victims, and the people of Iran. I wish a swift recovery to the injured."
