Azerbaijan's President Aliyev meets bp CEO Murray Auchincloss

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with bp Chief Executive Officer Murray Auchincloss on Thursday, the presidential press service reported.

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the long-standing and successful partnership between Azerbaijan and bp. It was noted that revenues from energy resources have been effectively used to support the country’s socio-economic development.

President Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s role in ensuring Europe's energy security and highlighted the country’s strong potential in renewable energy alongside its hydrocarbon resources.

The two also discussed the significance of bp’s projects in the liberated territories and exchanged views on future cooperation between SOCAR and bp.
