Russia, Azerbaijan set to reach $5 bln in trade this year – envoy

 Bilateral trade between Russia and Azerbaijan will reach $5 billion this year, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov said at an international roundtable on Eurasian economic integration in Baku.

Evdokimov described ties between the two countries as “very close and active,” adding that the $5 billion mark reflects “strong growth in mutual trade.”

He said the Eurasian Economic Union is becoming an increasingly attractive economic bloc and that Azerbaijan is expanding trade both with Russia and other EAEU member states.
