ASCO’s "Murovdağ" vessel resumes operations after major overhaul in Turkey

 Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company’s (ASCO) Handysize bulk carrier, "Murovdağ," has successfully completed a comprehensive dry-dock overhaul at the Özata shipyard in Turkey. The vessel is now preparing for its first post-repair voyage from Egypt to the United States.

The repairs were conducted under the stringent supervision of the RINA Classification Society. Key technical upgrades included a total overhaul of the main and auxiliary engines, laser-measured piping replacements, and a full recalibration of electrical and navigation systems.

Notably, the ship’s Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) was modified to meet U.S. maritime standards, allowing the vessel to operate globally without restrictions. With a 38,000-ton deadweight capacity and a maximum speed of 15.7 knots, the "Murovdağ" returns to service as a more effic
