How much gas Azerbaijan supplied to Syria?

Azerbaijan exported 0.5 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas to Syria in 2025, according to preliminary data released by the Azerbaijan Energy Ministry.

The ministry said Azerbaijan’s total natural gas exports in 2025 amounted to 25.2 bcm, unchanged from the previous year.

Gas supplies to Europe reached 12.8 bcm, down 0.1 bcm, or 0.8%, compared with 2024.

Exports to Turkey stood at 9.6 bcm, a decline of 0.3 bcm or 3%, while supplies to Georgia totaled 2.3 bcm, down 0.1 bcm or 4.2%. About 5.6 bcm of gas was transported to Turkey via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), in line with 2024 levels.

Azerbaijan began gas deliveries to Syria in August 2025.
