Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan declined to confirm or deny media reports regarding the potential import of sugar from Azerbaijan in the near future. Speaking to journalists on February 1, Papoyan stated that he could not comment on such reports at this stage.

The minister gave a similar response when asked about the alleged involvement of businessman Samvel Aleksanyan in the process.

However, Papoyan clarified that, currently, gasoline is the only product being imported from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
