Azerbaijan resumes chicken meat imports from the United Kingdom

Azerbaijan imported 26,521 tonnes of chicken meat worth $43.5 million last year.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, imports declined by 31% in volume and 34% in value compared to 2024.

Ukraine was the largest supplier, exporting 12,038 tonnes worth $19.3 million. Russia supplied 6,662 tonnes worth $10.2 million, Georgia 2,783 tonnes worth $6.7 million, Belarus 3,891 tonnes worth $4.4 million, and Uzbekistan 837 tonnes worth $2.3 million.

Azerbaijan also resumed chicken meat imports from the United Kingdom after an eight-year and two-month hiatus. During the reporting period, 0.65 tonnes worth $10,600 were imported from the UK.
