Azerbaijan’s broad money supply rises 5.8% in January

Azerbaijan’s broad money supply (M3) reached 48.186 billion manats at the end of January 2026, up 2.611 billion manats, or 5.8%, from the same period in 2025, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan reported.

Narrower measures showed M2 at 38.309 billion manats and M1 at 29.859 billion manats, representing increases of 10.2% and 8.1% respectively from the previous year.

Banks operating in Azerbaijan reported total assets of 56.936 billion manats, total liabilities of 49.529 billion manats, and equity of 7.407 billion manats in January. Compared with the previous year, assets rose 7.2%, liabilities 6.7%, and equity 10.7%.
