Azerbaijan seizes large quantities of narcotics at Astara border post

Officers of the Astara Customs Department of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan confiscated a significant quantity of narcotics during an operation, the committee said.

At the Astara border post, a vehicle carrying a shipment of “cabbage” was inspected using a stationary X-ray device and a sniffer dog.

Authorities found 43.565 kg of hashish and 58.955 kg of hashish resin concealed within the shipment.

An investigation into the case is ongoing.
