Sanctioned tanker transits Strait of Hormuz after U.S. blockade order
U.S.-sanctioned oil tanker transited the Strait of Hormuz after President Donald Trump ordered a blockade of the waterway, CNN reported, citing analytics firm Kpler.
The vessel, Elpis, registered in the Comoros, passed through the strait on April 13.
Washington sanctioned the tanker in 2025 for its alleged role in transporting Iranian oil as part of a so-called shadow fleet.
