Iran’s Pezeshkian tells Macron conditions for resuming dialogue with U.S.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Europe could play a constructive role in resolving the crisis around Iran by encouraging the United States to engage in talks within international norms.
He made the remarks during a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Pezeshkian said Iran is ready to continue dialogue strictly on the basis of international norms to safeguard the rights of its people.
He added that reaching a final agreement is being hindered by excessive demands and a lack of political will from the U.S. administration, despite progress at the expert level.
According to Pezeshkian, threats and pressure from the United States are ineffective and only worsen the situation.
