ABB plans to acquire a controlling stake in one of Uzbekistan’s private banks.

ABB Management Board Chairman Abbas Ibrahimov told journalists.

According to him, the issue was discussed at ABB’s general meeting of shareholders, and shareholders supported the initiative.

“If the approval and registration procedures are completed quickly, ABB may be represented in the Uzbek market under the name ABB Davr Bank from the third quarter of this year,” Ibrahimov said.

He noted that expansion into new geographic markets is one of the key priorities of ABB’s 2026–2028 development strategy.
